my 1m x 1m room in Block LIB!!!
Hello All!!
This is NERD KRISTINE typing!!!
Kristine has just moved from her comfy room to a one metre squared room in the college LIBRARY, where she has personalised her own wooden cubicle with notes, books, food (tiny teddies and apples, the other day there were sandwich and chips), pillow, water, and personalised post-its with words of encouragement, study schedule, countdown to exams, and some study notes!!
All that’s missing from her room is a picture of love ones, blanket, change of clothes, toiletries and a room phone.
She spends every waking hour in this mini room of hers, except during meal times and school lessons. Having unplugged herself from technology, she uses the internet fo not more than an hour a day (amazing achievement considering she was hardly offline for more than an hour when she’s awake on normal days).
she has exactly 10 MORE DAYS to her first exam paper!!!!
you’d die if you had to gobble down and memorise every freaking word from 4 text books, do 120 MCQ in 2 hours, 8 essay questions with CRITICAL ANALYSIS, impromptu case analysis that you can’t prepare for, and chim-ology mathematical statistics questions that require you to memorise millions of formulas because they ain’t gonna provide ANY. =(
ANYWAY… just before this whole studying for exam reality thing actually sunk in, we…
we did shopping and ate dinner out with the guys!!!
we saw lion dance and they were really feaky cos they came up to grab the food off your hand!!
we went for an ABC (Anything But Clothes) party just in the quad of our college, and we couldn’t wear any clothes, so all of us freshies went in cool bathrobes!! =)
and what other way to start of an upcoming STRESS FILLED WEEK than to….
do some last minute shopping/retail therapy!!!
ok! bed’s calling me!!!!
11 days to first exam paper
14 days to my best friend’s birthday
17 days to last exam paper
25 days to singapore
wish me luck!!!!
*heartcandy spotted*

global dinner
Hey all!!
I’m back from the most amazing road trip i have even been on, and i went down south of western australia to do abit of canoeing, cave climbing, trekking, horsebacking riding, whale watching, winery, farm visits and many others…
i had a WHALE of a time!!! with the most interesting company =)
but more details when i have more time (after projects are done and 1000+ photos are sorted out)
As for now, I’m super full… full on crepe skin and minced meat…
Tommy more had an event called dinner swap + global dinner.
Basically some of us went over to the next residential college to try out their dinner. And because it was global dinner, we had to draw lots for the country we were to sit in.
The tables are divided into countries, mainly 3 types, the first world (where they got steak, they were served their meals), the 2nd world had salad and mash potatoes and bread and some mince meat thing, and 3rd world had only crepe skin and minced meat. and NO WATER, just cups.
So i got places in SOMALIA, some place apparently worse than zimbabwe. Not even half way through my pathetic meal, it was announced that Somalia was having deforestation and there was lack of wood for furniture, so we had to sit on the floor to eat!!! how pathetic.
So i met a few interesting people… ate funnily together, while some other countries like would experience drought and they wouldn’t have water. others had discrimination against woman so the woman couldn’t eat the crepe skin, only meat. Australia and American had the right to offer HELP and Aid to the poorer countries, so some of the people from the first world country tables came with bread, chocolate, and for the first time i was so happy at the sight of bread and water.
It was a really interesting night. Then Somalia economy turned for the better, but only the men could return to the table!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA….
But it all ended well, we all went back to the table and there was still food at the back for all the poor third world people who never got any steak or mash potatoes. And we had YUMMYlicious ICE CREAM at the end of it!!! =)
it was trulying an amazing experience to understand abit more about the global society, and stuff. =)
GOOD MEAL! now to get some proper work done!!!
=)
till my assignments are done and my next update!
ciao!
