no fate

today is the first day where i really wanted to do/see something/someone, but there was absolutely no chance to just even say bye.

fate toyed us. i went down he went up, i went out he went in, i went right he went left. so drama? but so true.

at least i saw him one last time =) haahaha. but still sad la. nevermind!!! september he’ll be in Singapore again. ahaha

met sarah this morning to go to IDP to submit transcript. saw Diana there too =) hehehe.

then sarah and i headed to carls junior for lunch and walked down to dhoby ghaut.

—– moment for my thoughts —–

i hate that stupid voice in my head that stops me from doing things i want to do. like just saying hi to Mr Kuflik at Raffles City, or standing up to give my seat to an older woman, or even just taking out my slippers and walk barefooted with a friend, sending a postcard to my favourite guest, random msg of hi and misses to aus friend, and sometimes i just wanna do something crazy or impromptu, but the stupid stupid voice in my head just holds me back.

I think that’s voice names i called “EGO”??? i don’t like you ego.

Anyway, work has been abit busy these two days. but i like it this way. busy busy =) time past faster. hehehe

maybe i should consider being a PA. so cool huh. hahahah like devil wear’s prada =X but no need dress so nice la. hahaha =X

GOOD LUCK to sarah on her first day at work tomorrow. hope you dont get punk’d on April Fool’s Day!!!

bike ride home

CONGRATS to aslany for getting accepted at NUS =) *throws balloons and colourful paper*

today work was the usual.

sad that i didnt get to see Mr Kuflik, he left early in the morning. And tomorrow he’ll be leaving noon and i will only reach work at 2 =(

oh well. had a great ride home from Faz Jr all the way to my house gate. =)

second time on a bike. still as scary. heheh. but i enjoyed it =) so fun!! hahaha. i remember the other time riding in Vietnam with the girls, no need helmet. so cool!! haha =X

tonight, it was windy, cold, fast (feels fast), insecure cos nothing to hold on to, no protection. haha. i’m such a manja kid=) but overall! i couldnt stop smiling.scary but great experience. i like =)

haha, though it has made me sure i wouldn’t want to ride a bike on my own. so scary. haha. what with all the accidents ive been seeing recently, and the one that trees are more dangerous??? -_-

wonderful off days … again =)

after work on thursday i headed to meet sarah at clarke quay around 6pm to check out her new workplace. at the COLOURFUL old police station building.

then we headed to the LOOF with leanna.

LOOF is a rooftop bar that is a super awesome place to just chill and relax =)

the inside of the small bar was a cosy place with small tables, and they also had mattresses with pillows where the three of us lay down to rest and listen to wonderful music played by the acoustic duo performing on thursday nights. =)

loof is just beside opposite raffles hotel, and a simply wonderful place to chill. drinks were normal prices, and we had free food platter from my brochure =) (hunt down more in the office tml)

so jammers just chilled out for the night till 10:30 and listened to all time favourite oldies and other songs. requested a few and just laxed under the stars. ah.. great end to a work day and a great start to two off days =)

jammers is like sunshine even on a rainy day =)

friday i went for SMU interview and screwed it up quite badly. not being able to answer on the spot and write a proper 500 word essay in 45 mins. im all geared up and expecting my rejection letter soon =)

i got my DWM. so i’m pretty satisfied =)

saturday!!

went out with BOYfriends to celebrate keith’s birthday!! 20 year old man!!! =)

super indulgence today with alot of food. hahahah =X

went to swensons to eat, we all got our usual orders and had the giant earth quake at the end to fill our stomachs till 9pm.

watched step up2. not as good as the first, and seriously i think the lead girl cant dance. only good at shaking her bumm.

we went to play pool and then headed to my place to grab the car and to JALAN KAYU we went to eat the healthier choice prata.

i love spending time with my BOYfriends, although missing azhar and zhen hu, jacky and nicholas. but we had a great time =) so much food, laughter and jokes.

entries’ have been all about updates at work… i guess that’s all i do these days except off days la. hahahaha

well, been busy at work.

basically night shift for the past few days so no time to update.

other than i had a good chilli crab supper with Zizi, Fas Jr and Rafie after work on Saturday night =).

3 live crabs, aunty selling it to us for the price of 2 =)

and yummy yummy fried calamaris!!!

followed by fried noodles

this sweet and sour chicken was SUPER good cos it was crispy inside =) i like. i dont really eat sweet and sour stuff, but this one was good la!!

and our yummy yumm chilli crab.

this meal plus the drinks and many satay we had filled 2 man and 2 girls. cost $88. FREAKING CHEAP la… =) yummy yummy yummy

BACK TO WORK………..

then the hotel had a really cool wedding car, that the wedding couple rented for 3 days. i like. i want it too. hahahaha

nice yeah?? so vintage vintage. i like!!! =) hehehe i want for my wedding too!!!

nothing much to update other than Roszel (my boss) has been a real sweet boss. happy to have him as a boss =) some how like a fatherly figure to me =). hehehe. wonder when he’s gonna kick me off the team man.

anyway, spending more time with my colleagues. i like it =) glaiza aka my sister, situah gsm-to-be, zizi the ticketing-woman, haha, fusako my-little-japanese-friend, and all the other colleagues who are super fun and making me enjoying my time at Concierge =)

i’m looking forward to thursday outing at the LOOF with leanna and sarah, and also dinner at the Brazilian Churrascaria with fusako and glaiza =) yum yum yum.

oh i see my $$ depleting damn fast these few weeks. dinner and dinner, supper and supper, one sumptuous meals after another. hahaha

though i wished i had gone to see maroon 5 concert. but on a lighter note. saved some money on that then =) hahahaha.

two wonderful off days

as well as my new page “snapshots – singapore flyer” for some of the photos i took during the whole trip and the dinner. =>

my two very productive off days began like this:

Thursday morning (19.03.08) i woke up to head to school to ask about my transcripts and intended to purchase one, but they said it would be ready for collection only next friday. so i decided not to get it and wait for the free one that will come in early April.

I then headed to Shenton Way to meet up with University of South Florida representative and got a clearer picture of how the US university system works. Then i headed to Suntec to wait for the rest of the Conrad people to finish work.

Fas Jr, Zizi, Glaiza, Situah and Mann met up with me and we headed to the Singapore Flyer.

The first level was kinda nice with nature, waterfall, trees and stuff. Then we finally got on to the capsule (privately booked just for Conrad Staff). It was funny cos we had to run into the capsule as it was continuously moving. hahahaha

It’s not all that fantastic, the view most probably can be seen from equinox or one of those restaurants on top. But it is a try-only-once thing. I wouldn’t pay $30 to go up there again. Not worth the money.

I might still go there for POPEYE’s chicken and Kenko fish foot reflexology. hahah.

I guess what made the Singapore Flyer really was the whole company. We had crazy and funny people, cam whoring sessions and Mrs Tang’s (The Queen) drama.

Dinner after that was damn good too. The Laughter, the jokes, the food, topped with the obvious fact that it was FREE =)

We had our big corner in the Aqua Marine Restaurant, Marina Mandarin, which we filled with laughters and flashes from the cameras. Buffet style, free flow of sushi, oyster, sashimi, ice cream, mussels, crabs, beef, lamb, yum yum and the list goes on.

Glaiza and I kept taking photos together because we realised we had similar cheek bone shapes and somehow we may actually look alike – like sisters =)

Overall, it was a darn good (cashless) outing with Conrad Staff. The day ended well =)

FRIDAY

woke up for Good Friday service, then leanna came over and we slacked together for 6 hours in my room with the guitar, by the window (when it started to rain at 3pm), rolling around, playing no-link games and just chilling and talking =)

i looked forward to 7:30pm like a hungry pig, dinner at buonos italian restaurant at lichfield with dumbernarian girls.

We caught up on our lives. the juicy stuff, the boring work/no work life, university or no university. I’m glad we did this, i’m glad we met up.

food was great too. yummy linguine, yummy thin thin pizza, yummy calamari and super super yummy LAVA CAKE.
